May 11, 2017 – ABC Completions Inc. has obtained a TCCA STC certification to complement the existing FAA STC 3199NY for the Bombardier Global Series Aircraft. The system is certified for taxi, take off and landing as a Class II Electronic Flight Bag, complete with electrical connection to aircraft systems.

The iPad tablet is secured within a custom-designed aluminum housing that enables access to all iPad controls, including the camera. All models of iPads are supported, making future tablet updates simple. The elegant, black powder-coated housing matches and protects the iPad tablet at all times.

The articulating, fully adjustable custom-designed mount allows for a comfortable positioning of the iPad, allowing charts to be viewed in both landscape and portrait modes. The mount provides a secure, safe and dependable means of attaching the iPad offering protection in all conditions.

Two GDC64 remote units provide electrical power to the tablets for recharging the tablet battery, as an interface to the aircraft’s FMS for display of aircraft’s position and for presentation of graphical weather from an optional XM Weather Receiver. These two units provide complete dual system redundancy.

 

DAC International Renews Distribution Agreement with Esterline Avionics Systems

Southbury, CT – February 27, 2017. FltPlan Go, FltPlan.com’s free EFB app for iPad, now supports DAC International’s GDC64 Tablet Aircraft Interface Unit (TAIU). FltPlan Go users can transfer a wealth of information, including GPS position, heading, altitude, speed, and track information as well as onboard XM Satellite weather information, including U.S. and Canadian radar, lightning, echo tops, and CIP from the panel into the FltPlan Go app.

The GDC64 connects directly to the aircraft’s power buss and is Part 25-approved. The unit features four ARINC 429 ports allowing for seamless transfer of this complex, real-time data to the FltPlan Go app. The wired connection of the GDC64 offers the added benefit of serving as a safe and approved power supply.

The AML includes the Hawker 800/800XP/1000, Bombardier’s Challenger 601-3A/3R, Dash 8–100/200/300 and its 415 Superscooper, Cessna Citation 650, Dassault Falcon 900, Fokker 50 and the Gulfstream III.

“This will allow our Mexican customers the opportunity to install the new display and meet the applicable specifications for safe operation in accordance with the Standards, Procedures and Regulations required by the Direcci6n General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC)” said President of DAC International Cisco Hernandez.

Northrop Grumman LITEF is the Germany-based navigation systems subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation that designs and manufactures highly reliable aircraft flight instrumentation including accelerometers and angular rate sensors, inertial measurement units, attitude and heading reference systems, and hybrid navigation systems. DAC International, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced today that it has reached a multi-year distribution agreement with Imaging Technology and Visual Solutions (ITVS).

ITVS is a leading supplier of visual inspection products and solutions including videoscopes, surveillance equipment and endoscopic cameras. Working in concert with Inspection Technology Concepts, they design, manufacture and distribute imaging devices configured with state-of-the-art CCD (charge-coupled device) and CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors (both found in digital cameras), including unique black and white CCDs for covert observation and detection.
